Expansion to Asia

With the Philippines being the first Asian country to join the Romans Project the Good News moved west to Thailand, Cambodia, and Myanmar.

On their trip to SE Asia, Rick Calenberg and Cesar Tallada
(Philippines National Director) opened the door for the Romans Project to expand into Cambodia and Myanmar. While the two were in Thailand, at the Global Proclamation Congress for Pastoral Trainers in July, Rick and Cesar made several more contacts that will be the first steps to bringing the Romans Project to Malaysia, Indonesia and India. With each contact they made, the value of the Romans Project was affirmed as being just what the pastors in these areas need to better serve their congregations.

First Steps In Myanmar

Pastor Thang Lian Sang of Yangon recently became the first to complete the Romans Project requirements in Myanmar. He was awarded his mp3
player by Cesar Tallada, National Director of the Philippines who is
traveling in SE Asia to promote the Project. Here is a quote from Pastor Thang:

The book of Romans is indeed the chief book in the New Testament. Before, I was ashamed of the gospel of Christ, but as I read this book, it gives me more boldness to share the gospel. I am blessed by this book. As Paul the Apostle made his aim, I also make it my aim to preach the gospel where Christ is not known in Myanmar (Rom. 15:20).

Continued Growth in Asia

On a trip to Cambodia Pastor Cesar followed up from a previous trip and was overjoyed to find out how the seed which had been sown was now growing. 6 out of the 24 pastors had already completed the challange and the rest were well on their way
